It is a women's conference and the theme is "The Roots and Fruits of Our Judaic-Christian Heritage." They have asked Batya to be their keynote speaker. She accepted the offer because she truly has a heart for the nations and for the truth.
Asking for help made me, Angus, think of what Mordecai might have said to Queen Esther if getting this book into print had been his challenge. In his day, he knew that the Almighty was going to help His people one way or another. So Mordecai told his niece, Queen Esther, that help would arise and that he hoped that she would be the one through whom it came.
For a long time we have felt that the hearts of our Spanish speaking brethren are especially open to the message about Israel's full restoration. And, when we truly seek the Holy One, help always comes. He makes sure of that. Since this is the case, if Mordecai were here in our day, he might well say to us, "If you cannot help, provision will arise from another place. But, if that is the case, you will not have the satisfaction of having helped our Spanish speaking brethren receive this life changing information."
Help will come and we truly want to take part in that helping. But, we simply cannot help the people unless the necessary help first comes from you. I, Batya, realize that it sounds strange to ask for help to publish a book that one "sells," but the truth is that we have given away most of what we have earned through our book sales. That is how we built the MIA, and we gave that away. We now primarily live on our retired pay, do not travel a lot, and we have essentially tried to live a quiet life. But, my heart cry is that I really want to do this! I really want to make a difference in the Hispanic community - because I believe that they will help make a difference in the world!
So, how would our Father have us handle our "Hispanic Esther moment"? Is it possible that one of the many reasons our Father sent each of us to this Earth is for "such a time as this"? It is our personal heart-felt prayer that we might soon have in print, a copy of the book: ¿QUIÉN ES ISRAEL? ISRAEL REDIMIDO - UN PRIMER. So, I am humbly standing here, hat in hand, asking you to please help us provide that help to the people.
We are already hearing reports that this easy-reading book is changing lives. The information in it is very concise and solidly Scriptural. And to tell the truth, with all our hearts, we want to get there first and with the truth in simple form. That is why we are making this request. We do not feel that we have time for the people to run down more religious bunny trails. We instead need life-changing truth, and we need it now, so we can move on down the Road to Zion.
At this point, a dear lady, Blanca Colosio, is working on the translation of this important little book and it should be finished soon. The truths in it have changed lives and we want more people to have access to the same information. We can only do this if we have help from our friends. All offerings, large and small, will be greatly appreciated - not only by us, but by untold numbers of Spanish speaking people worldwide. We ask you to please be led by the Ruach haKodesh.
